South Crofty Tin Ingot Flies at Auction
We are thrilled to announce that last week’s charity auction of the last ingot to be smelted from South Crofty tin was a resounding success. Having garnered huge interest from press and local collectors alike, the ingot sold above estimate for £6,400.
Wheal Jane have long supported Children’s Hospice South West, and we are delighted that the company have pledged to match the auction total. With Lay’s Auctioneers also offering to donate the buyer’s fees to the charity, this brings the total raised for the Hospice to £14,144!
